Cosy Treat, as its name implies, is a real ‘bolt-hole’ for a cosy treat. Built as a 1910 extension to the 1864 primitive Chapel, it is now very popular self-catering holiday accommodation with our guests in the Forest of Dean.

We added the Chapel as a satellite property to our little hamlet of five luxury self-catering holiday cottages, just a short 6 mins drive away.

When you book a Chapel property with us, you get the benefit of free access to all the facilities on offer at our nearby hamlet, including a woodland hot tub pass, children’s play area (indoor and outdoor), valley view tea room, woodland walks and treetop picnic platform, and onsite falconry experiences (pre-booking is essential). You can reserve your woodland hot tub session with towels (changing room and wc).

Head through a gate from your free allocated parking space, to unlock Cosy Treat’s front door. The front door opens into an open-plan living room/dining room/kitchen. Ahead of you, a modern well-equipped kitchen with discrete integrated appliances including a dishwasher, fridge with separate freezer, washer/dryer and a gas hob with electric double oven. The glass bistro table and dining chairs seat up to 4 for cosy suppers.

Through the arch up two very shallow steps*, you will find a comfy sofa, easy chairs, reading lamps and TV. Pass into the inner hall to the end you will find a double bedroom with double size bed and next to it a separate single room with 3’ bed. The shared bathroom with a bath has a modern power shower over and glass shower screen.

* Property is suitable for those who are only part-time wheelchair users and can take their own weight and a couple of steps.

TRAVELLING WITH YOUNG CHILDREN

All of our properties are heated 24/7. To make your stay less stressful and as comfortable as possible we provide a variety of items for those travelling with children. There is no extra charge for any of the items listed below – please simply request at the time of booking.

For Baby: Moses Basket, Baby Monitor, Changing mat, Steriliser, Nappy Bags and Baby Wipes,

For Toddlers: High-chair, Travel cot (please provide your own bedding), Stair-gate(s), Potty, Trainer Toilet seat, Toilet hop-up, Booster Seat, non-slip matt for bath, Plastic cutlery & plastic plates. Night light, Bed guard side (only suitable on our single beds), Brolly sheet for beds – in case of accidents! (only suitable on our single beds).
